Properties

Extra virgin coconut oil is made from the fresh pulp of mature coconuts from Sri Lanka. Production involves removing the husk, removing the kernel and washing. The white pulp is then ground (to obtain fine flakes) and dried. The flakes are then pressed (first cold pressing) to extract the oil. The oil thus obtained is filtered resulting in a clear oil that has the following characteristics: it is a healthy alternative to using butter and other fats in cooking; it is easy to digest; it is rich in medium-chain triglycerides and has a relatively high boiling point.

How to use

Use in the preparation of recipes, as a source of fat. Suitable for frying, baking and grilling. Can be used at high temperatures. Can also be used in skin and hair care.

Organic extra virgin coconut oil (Cocos nucifera).

Warnings

Store tightly sealed in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight.
