Physalis Vegan Omega 3 contains polyunsaturated omega 3 fatty acids DHA (50%) and EPA (20%) from the Schizochytrium algae, a sustainable source of omega 3 due to its low carbon footprint and minimal impact on ocean ecosystems. Our diet provides proportionally too much omega 6 and too little omega 3. We therefore recommend taking food supplements containing EPA and DHA. DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and normal vision. EPA and DHA help maintain normal blood pressure and healthy triglyceride levels (beneficial effects are observed from a daily intake of 3 g and 2 g of EPA + DHA, respectively). Vitamin E helps protect cells against free radicals.
