Properties

The bark of Pau d'Arco contains naphthoquinone derivatives, particularly lapachol, which has anti-tumour, pro-apoptotic (stimulates the death of cancer cells), anti-inflammatory, immunostimulant, diuretic and antiviral properties. Quinone is also noteworthy, as it stimulates the liver to produce prothrombin and other substances that participate in blood clotting. It also contains flavonoids, particularly quercetin, which have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic properties. This product provides the body with selenium and copper, which contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system and to the protection of cells against undesirable oxidation.

How to take

Take 25 ml diluted in a little water, preferably between meals. Shake before taking.

Pau d'arco Ext.Seco (5:1) 500 mg ; Copper (75% NRV*) 0.75 mg ; Selenium (75% NRV*) 41µg. *NRV (Nutrient Reference Value) established in Regulation No. 1169/2011 of 25 April 2011.

Contains sweetener. Contains polyols. Excessive consumption may have laxative effects. This product should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. A balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are important. Due to the lack of studies confirming the safety of use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, this supplement should not be used in these situations, unless medically indicated. Do not exceed the recommended doses unless advised by a healthcare professional.
